For architects & engineers

Keep the design. Hand us the duty.

Being the designer doesn't have to mean being the Principal Designer. We take the PD appointment as a standalone service, so you keep your design appointment without carrying coordination duties you're not resourced for.

01

Your exposure

If your client appoints no one, regulation 7 can make you the Principal Designer: on home projects the designer in control of the design carries the duty by default, unpaid and rarely acknowledged in your appointment. Excluding the role in your terms does not switch the regulation off; it only records that you never agreed to do it for a fee. A client appointment in writing is the only clean fix.

02

Our arrangement

We're appointed PD directly by the client. You stay the designer; we coordinate health and safety across the design team.

03

Your involvement

One short designer form per project, telling us how your design deals with the risks it creates. For most projects, ten minutes and it's done.

It's in your interest that your client appoints someone

So build their quote for them: pick "the architect, engineer or designer" in the tool, answer the project questions, and send your client the quote link to check and send to us. Two minutes, and the duty lands where it should.
